Policies for technical and vocational education are designed to help students acquire and develop employment-oriented skills suited to various types of productive work. We focus on skill training, adaptive techniques, and hands-on workshops to enable persons with disabilities to become self-reliant and independent.
Special Education: Special education is provided to all students from an early age to help them develop academic, behavioral, and daily living skills. Each special educator works with 7–8 students to ensure individual attention and skill development. Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), our organization participates in various activities such as medical camps, assessment camps, and awareness programs. We provide educational aids, learning tools, mobility assistance, and support services to enhance the learning experience of every child.
Rehabilitation is provided after the onset of disability and covers three main areas: i) Physical Rehabilitation Early Detection and Intervention: Early diagnosis and intervention through medical, drug-based, or non-drug therapies help minimize the severity of disability. Counseling and Medical Rehabilitation: Includes physiotherapy, psychotherapy, vision stimulation, and special education programs to strengthen the physical and emotional capacities of persons with disabilities.
Early detection of disabilities can help prevent or minimize their impact in a large number of cases. Therefore, our organization places a strong emphasis on prevention through the following actions: Conducting awareness programs about maternal and child health, nutrition, and immunization. Organizing screening and medical camps for early identification of disabilities. Promoting prenatal and postnatal care to prevent avoidable disabilities. Providing guidance and counseling for parents and caregivers.
